WARNING TO ALL BOOKLOVERS! I also love books and have tons of them -- the word "tons" is deliberate here. For those of you putting up new bookcases for a lot of books, please learn from my bad experience: put bookcases as much as possible on outer walls, which are stronger than inside walls. Several years ago, the weight of a couple of my bookcases caused structural damage to both part of the floor and some of the walls in my house, and I had to spend a lot of money for extensive repairs.

My house, btw, was built in 1912, so it's not a new bit of flimsy construction.

Just be aware that inside walls, where they meet floors, do not have the same support and structure that outside walls do.
