My dad answered, and by his reply, we knew that it was a telemarketer who had gotton only so far as to state their name. Dad says, "Yes, and I don't know you from a hole in the ground. Goodbye." Now maybe it was the sweet tones in which he spoke, or merely what he said. But every time I think about it I get a chuckle......
