Thread Name: Lyr Req: In an Old Dutch Garden (Gordon, Grosz)
Subject: Lyr Req: Heaven in a Pair of Wooden Shoes?
There's a song that my grandmother used to sing when I was little, and unfortunately, I can't remember all of the words. She just recently passed away, and this tune has been stuck in my head since then. I'd really like to find the lyrics if at all possible. Below is what I remember and is a little choppy. I'd really appreciate if anyone can give me any help with this.

In an old Dutch garden
where the tulips grow
That's where I first whispered
That I love you so
..a smile danced by
It was then that I
Found Heaven in a pair of wooden shoes.

Then one sad day
When summer meets September
I sailed away
from a dream I still remember

In an old Dutch garden
by an old Dutch mill
That's where ....
That she'll be waiting still
And my heart will yearn
Until I return
To Heaven in a pair of wooden shoes
