I'm sure we could, by looking long enough, find a used stove, but warrenties and such are important...and we can't wait for 'just' the right deal...have waited too long now...

We looked at a LOT of stoves (and micro-hoods) today....and found exactly what we'd like...only $500-700 over budget..*grin*..so now it is a matter of winnowing. (We are 'almost' sure we'll go gas this time) There was a lovely one with gas top and electric oven....and one with both parts gas, with extra warming/baking mini-oven instead of storage drawer..$1100! *gulp* We need to read all the features about BTUs and oven capacity and self-cleaning features, etc...and look some more.
