Great pics...thx for the link.

I was hoping for an explanation of what I saw a few days ago. About noon, just before a downpour I saw a perfect replica of the sun, full circle and about as shiny as the moon, glowing but easy to look at, just under and to the side of where the "real" sun was obviously shining through the clouds. I was on a busy highway, so tho I had my camera with me there was no place to pull off the road to take a picture. I've never seen anything like it. The only thing I can imagine is that an image of the sun was being reflected by water droplets in the clouds, or?????

I would dearly love to see the Arora Borealis one day. Is it true that sounds sometimes accompany this phenomenon?
