Even the label "Christian" has different meanings among those who apply it to themselves.

My mother was a born-again fundamentalist Christian in the latter decades of her life (this is what she considered herself... she was raised Catholic). But she didn't consider Catholics to be Christians. I think most Catholics would probably disagree with her criteria for the lable of "Christian".
