I am not a labeler, but I am a 'categorizer', because one thing or one person can fit into multiple categories. Rather than label a person a 'conservative' and then tell myself I can't like him because I KNOW I don't like conservatives, I note that he is a quiet, friendly, music loving, meat eating, funny guy who mows his lawn neatly, seldom beats his wife, and just 'happens' to vote differently than I do most of the time. This way, I get to find something to like about 99.631% of the people I meet. (Don't ask about the other .369%!)
