The record I'm referring to was called "Nonesuch" (from the tune of the same name), recorded on Folkways Records sometime in the late 50s. It featured Pete Seeger and Frank Hamilton playing a lot of instrumental tunes on a myriad of instruments. Two absolutely crazed vocals (My Home's across the Smokey Mountains, and the best version of "Battle of New Orleans" extant) are included. As a listening record it was (and is) a lot of fun. As a learning tool, it was invaluable to me.
