Hi Sandy....

Yes, I'm here. Thanks Rick. Pete and I had a great time with it. It was a jam session, really. It was not intended to be too well rehearsed. This was the first time Pete recorded Living In The Country (on the record) Singing In The Country. Working with Pete is always a great joy. He is one of the most generous people I know. We were going for spontaneity. We wouldn't be able to reproduce what we put down on that tape. We tried at one of Pete's concerts in Symphony Hall in Boston but it came out different. Anyway, thanks again for your nice words, Rick.

I haven't been in the studio solo for about thirty years, Sandy. Last time was a Folkways album that I didn't really think I did too well. Had a cold that day. In those days, you did an album in one day. This new CD is about my love affair with traditional American folk music. If you're interested, you can find out more about it by going to Indian Trail Studios (click). All I really can tell you is that I'm pleased with it. Roger McGuinn helped me out on one cut. It wouldn't have been possible without my wife, Mary's help. I tried to make it honest, because that's what folk music is to me. I picked songs that I love, the traditional American folk songs have withstood the test of time. Some have been recorded before but there are those that haven't been done very often. My mission was and is to bring forth those wonderful true folk songs that people may not know. I hope y'all think I did them justice.
