Damn right about needing an isolated detached house!
I'm really glad we've got just that - there are neighbours but there's at least a driveway and garden path in between, on both sides. And double glazing. I can play my bagpipes at 1 o'clock in the morning and nobody complains (not from outside the house anyway)

The Grauniad is of course famous for its spelling. They've done "Nora Waterstone" before, haven't they? - so a slight improvement...
