Ok, maybe I need to lighten up. Someone nudge me and tell me to if this is too heavy-handed. ...

But after reading the article, I had a mixture of feelings.

1. Is she apologizing for folk-music stereotypes? Or is she simply talking about what she is interested in?

2. Am I naive, or are there some folk who play professionally who love the music and play it even when it isn't their work?

3. So the folk music world is still perceived as insular? Does that matter? Is it true?

I want to believe Eliza is just being honest and down-to-earth, and while I have different opinions about folk music, etc. I can respect that. No problem.

Bleh. I got that off my chest.
