The fact that there REALLY are people who are afraid to speak is very disturbing.

There are people who are afraid to speak for fear of being labled "politically correct" as well.

But I'll tell you what is even more disturbing. It's when someone is being treated like a second class citizen or as if they were subhuman, and when they try to speak up about it, people say things like "you just don't have any sense of humor" or "you're just being politically correct". People become afraid to speak when that happens as well.

...and these aren't assumptions. I've seen it happen many times.
