Don't think there's anything to add at this stage - apart from one bit of nostalgia! As the age of about 13 or so, I went to a show in the Theatre Ropyal which, as Declan (get well soon, Dec!)mentioned, combined films with live shows - essentially the last trace of musichall, really. Anyway, the film was "Jazz on a Summer's Day" and I remember sitting fascinated through it, fidgeting through the live show - and then sitting through the film a second time, wiht my eyes closed! It was years before I realised just how balnced on the cusp I was.
