Interesting timing on this song/thread. I wonder if those of us who like the song as song in English by the Furey Brothers will get pilloried for not doing it in the original French. As in the recent Jacques Brel thread.

I had always thought the song had a nice dockside French or Belgian feel to it but until now didn't know it had other lyrics and a different name.
