Sonnet 14/02/04 DCCCLXXVIII
I build my muse a castle, stone by stone, Each line another facet of desire. Yet words are monument to dream alone: The thought of her smile all of hopes inspire. I send my muse my hopes, to share a night That moon and muse illuminate, or win A kiss and smile: She is enough of light To bring dawn to my heart, and spring begin. I offer muse my heart, but know I give Nothing she does not have. What can I share To winter's chill remove? Should I dreams live, To try to show my muse how much I care? She is my truth, my light: What can I say To tell how she remains in mind, today?
