Dick Greenhaus: I dont like Ewan McColl's politics, this is true. But dont say I dont like his songwriting: I sing them regularly, and as you will see in the post you were referring to, I actually referred to him as a fantastic songwriter. I just thought using his photo in the context of this particular book of English folksongs was questionable: what exactly was the implication? Why not Bert Lloyd himself, for example?
