Well, we checked with the National Park Service, and just this morning they called us back: we were told that it is NOT permitted to set up tents in the Camp 4 area. Sorry, but them's the rules.

On the other hand, there are more than 200 beds in the cabins, we've block-reserved some 30 motel rooms, and the "Travel Trailer Village" is a scant mile away. The official tent-camping area is on the other side of the park, probably a 15-20 minute drive away.
