Another way I prefer as the more comfortable when copying a song from DT:

File > Save Page as ... (*.htm)
Open the page with Word and save it as Word document, delete everything you don't need. The link "Click to play" is still saved in the document.

What baffles me is that you should have to open Word before copying to the clipboard. In my machine the clipboard is independent from the different programs.

Best advice I found here is the bracket grip: CTRL+ALT+DEL and reboot. This advice is also propagated by the helpful guys of our University Computing Center.
