Hey, I play trumpet! T-R-U-M-P-E-T, trumpet. Ever think of the trumpet as a folk instrument? Jazz, yeah. Blues, even. But folk? Nobody plays folk trumpet (except me, which means I play folk songs on the trumpet).

When people start talking about instruments, they ignore me! And yet, and yet...you never heard about the Last Guitar, or the Last Banjo, or the Last Bagpipe, or the Last Button Box, or even the Last Bodhran. It's the Last Trumpet, or the Last Trump.

Us trumpteters are gonna have the Last Word, and you fancy-schmancy dobro and ukelele players better realize it and be nice to us! (Send money and/or fine whisky.)
