There's a version recorded by Alan Lomax from Schoolchildren in Trinidad in 1962 which uses the Roman/English soldier format as in Joe's post above but after the we will give you none of it verse follows an interesting pattern of

We will bring a policeman etc

We aint 'fraid no policeman etc

We will bring a big-foot man etc

We aint 'fraid no big-foot man etc

We will bring a sore foot man etc

We aint 'fraid no sore footman etc

We will bring a jigger-foot man etc

We aint 'fraid no jigger-foot man etc
