have any of you ever used the various "extended clipboards" that are available? They allow multiple items on the clipboard, and allow you to choos which to paste...and many more features...

I use one called "ClipMate" that is one of the few $$$ware programs I have, but there are free ones too...the best known is Yankee Clipper
It might help sort out stuff you want to keep 'up there' for regular pasting.
