Sorry, Mick -- I forgot to mention, even emphasize, that we have a lot of over-the-top rabidly paranoid people here in Canada who are constantly coming up with conspiracy theories involving terrorism, or the US, or "the loss of Canadian identity because of immigration" and other nonsense.
