Thread Name: Seeking Folk Clubs in and around Cardiff
Subject: Seeking Folk Clubs in and around Cardiff
I'm hoping someone here will come up trumps and recommend some folk clubs in the Cardiff area that my cousin and her disabled husband could attend. They've had a really tough year: just as he was due to retire from work, the kids were off and away, and they had more time to enjoy life, he had a couple of strokes which have left him rather badly disabled as far as walking and his eyesight are concerned.

They have got themselves sorted out now with transport and are wanting to venture out to places more exciting than hospital waiting rooms and Sainsburys. Can anyone here recommend any friendly folk clubs in and around Cardiff (they live in Llanishen)for them to go to ? They have a badge for disabled parking, and Clive can walk a short distance - or go anything further with wheelchair access. Stairs would be a problem.

They like any kind of folk/blues/country/jazz. Clive used to play guitar in a band back in the 60s. They are a lovely couple of people and this would open up a whole new world, and hopefully a whole new bunch of friends for them. Because of his eyesight problems, he hasn't been using the computer - but Gillian told me he's now starting to play games on it. I'm just waiting for him to try Mudcat ! I'll have to start behaving myself on here once my Big Cousin gets here ;)

Thanks very much, in advance, for any information.
