Not only can horses swim, they can dive off of diving boards. Well... Sorta... Horses have no fear of height and have been used in novelty "high dive" acts where they would be ridden off of a diving platform or natural cliff into a swimming pool or lake. People go "oooh" and "aaah" over the act but it's really easy 'cause the damned horse is too stupid to know it's in danger You'd never get a mule to jump from a cliff into a lake. Mules are way too smart for that kind of crap.
