That said, I'd love to hear his rendition of things like Buffalo Skinners, The Dreary Black Hills, The Ballad Of Tom Joad, Pretty Boy Floyd, The South Coast or even The Flying Cloud. Tom Russell might do those effectively too come to think of it.

With his phrasing and unique vocalizing abilities I think it'd be the shot in the arm that country music AND more trad sounding folk music might need.
