Thursday morning here. South Carolina was spared the worst of the storm, due to an unexpected weakening of the winds and a slight eastern turn at the last minute. As far as I've been able to find out, no one was killed here, except for one or two traffic fatalities. The storm landed near Wilmington, North Carolina, and there was considerable damage to property, trees, and streets, but none to people as far as I know. Right now it's passed Norfolk and is continuing up the coast, but getting weaker. Think of our Northern friends now, as we here calm down and are grateful. Thanks again for all the kind words.
