A bright young sociology professor went out to interview a cowboy who was, believe it or not, 147 years old. After asking the usual stuff ("Do anything special to live this long?? and so on), he asked the old wadie what he'd learned about life.

"Well," the old cowpoke said, "I learned that there's folks who learn their lessons good by readin' and watchin', and they're less than one percent of the folks on the planet. And then there are them that learn good from doin', and they're maybe no more than three percent of the folks. And the rest of us, why, we jist keep pissin' in our boots."
