Amazin' isn't it, what we used to be able to do! (and voluntarily!) Now we sing "hey, hey, hey, hey, who woulda thunk it?", to quote one of my favorite songs.

It's 5:20 p.m., and the rain has now stopped in D.C., although lamarca (my neighbor as well as my friend) tells me our homes have been without power most of the day. The forecast for the next three days is bright sunshine and cool fall temperatures. Good thoughts to all of you farther north where it's still storming, and to you southern 'catters cleaning up after one ferocious storm. Hope people, pets, and property are intact. Kath
