The version in Sam Henry's "Songs of the People" has the title Long Cookstown, the home of the weaver. In this version, the weaver also "chanced to smell" Nancy Whiskey. After his adventure, he returns to the loom to earn more pocket money, "For Nancy Whiskey did me beguile."
