Thread Name: Tony Rose Project
Subject: RE: Tony Rose Project
Apologies for taking so long before joining this thread. I'm not a Mudcat regular (don't tell me: I know I should be) but Kitty told me this was going on, so I should have put my three ha'p'orth in sooner.

I have recordings from Reading University Folk Club in 1969 and from Herga in 1973, 1976 and 1978. These were all recorded on my Uher and should mostly be of fair or better quality, but I won't know until I play them. I also have one song copied from one of Edgar Ashton's recordings at Edinburgh University Folk Soc, date unknown, probably also around 1969.

I have recently treated myself to a decent 24-bit sound card and a Revox, so I should be able to transfer any or all of these recordings into digital format with negligible loss of quality from whatever quality the original tapes can offer.

Long term I intend to digitise ALL my recordings, if I'm spared, but I make no promise as to how much I can deal with how soon, and I've also promised to digitise my miscellaneous recordings from the Goat in St Albans, for the Tony Barratt project. Therefore please let me know if there's any of the following recordings of Tony Rose that you particularly want or definitely don't want. (Some of these may be better known by alternative titles, but they should be recognisable.)
