Rich - you shouldn't have given Dave's box back! I'm sure it's much safer in your hands!

While I'm here I have to say:

Crucible were **** excellent!

So was Tim Van Eyken who I also had never heard before. Others who have heard him a few years ago say his singing has improved tremendously.

Nancy and Sandra Kerr were a delightful replacement for Martin and Norma. I hadn't met or heard Sandra before either. I'm sorry we'll miss her at Letchworth this Friday (we're gigging, would have gone otherwise)

So as Dave Webber said at the end of the Saturday concert, the future of English folk music is in safe hands.

What really made my day on Sunday was in the "National Squeeze" when Rod Stradling admitting he was too scared of playing solo in front of an audience and asking me to jam along with him on Tom Tolley's Hornpipe! That event was hosted by Bob Walser, who is a brave man - I wouldn't want to go over to the USA, host a trad musicians session and tell them what to do - but he ran a really fun hour and a half.
