Here in Jacksonville Florida, we made it out of the storm very well...My bass player, who lives in Flagler Beach Florida and is a horse owner who braved last year's fire storm to save them was missing in action with her horses until 1:00 this morning, when she sent the email below...I think its worth sharing (especially since she's making it to our gig 150 miles across the state tomorrow)...

It is 1:15 AM (friday I think) and we just arrived home from the Second Annual Horse Evacuation. I have to go to work in about five hours. My house is a total mess, but intact, just a few shingles missing and a few small leaks. I CANT BELIEVE WE HAD TO DO THIS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got the first horses moved out Monday night and trailered all night long and most of the next day. We had to make three trips with every trailer we had to get them all. At least we had more time than during the fires. I can hardly type because my hands hurt so bad from cleaning stalls. With 26+ horses (about 29 I think), stall cleaning took most of the day. We did have time to enjoy ourselves a little bit though, not all work. Everybody is calling me a hero, but I don't feel much like one, just really tired. How did you all make out? It seemed like every time I saw the news, the hurricane was either aimed at Sebastian, Flagler Beach, or Jacksonville. I really thought the entire east coast of Florida was going to be destroyed. It was too close for me!!!! Yes, I am still on for Crystal River, as long as everyone else is. Of course I will probably be doing a lot of sleeping while we are there. Just wake me up in time to play. I promise I will take a shower first. Right now my perfume is eau d'manure. Flagler Beach lost most of the sand dunes, at least as far as I could tell in the dark. We almost lost A1A in a couple of places, and lost the end of our pier (again). I guess I'd better try to get some sleep. See ya soon, MMMmmmmmmmmm
