I wasn't paying much attention to this one, thinking of all hurricanes as southern animals, and today I found that a fair amount of central Vermont was without electricity, and it was mighty wet. It has helped out our low water table, and folks seem to be doing ok, and in good spirits. One customer came in today and described cutting a tree out of her driveway in order to get to work. She used her son's camp saw, some 18 inch hand thing. She's gonna get a chainsaw b'gawd!!

It was still quite windy and wet as I walked home from work, but we are supposed to have a lovely fall weekend to follow it up.
