Thread Name: BS: Liberals get their own radio station...
Subject: RE: BS: Liberals get their own radio station...
I never listen to talk radio (I seem to be on the same page as Deckman), but I do listen to radio on the web. To say this is the only left leaning radio is absurd, though.
Pacifica (despite the recent corporate cannibalization of it) has been around a long time. If you listen to public radio that isn't NPR, you can actually hear quite a bit of progressive and liberal radio. Democracy Now with Amy Goodman, for instance, is really good. Now granted, there isn't a national progressive radio network, but there are a good number of progressive radio stations, in very big markets.
KPFK in LA, KPFA in Berkeley, WBAI in NY, and WPFW in DC are probably the best known. But here in MN we have KFAI. But for those who are sick and tired of mainstream pablum like NPR offers, you could always have look through some of these internet links to progressive radio programs and stations:
I guess what this is all about is the Republicrats don't feel they have a national radio network of their very own, so they can keep all us radical leftists off the air. I consider that to be A Good Thing, because the liberals have really made a fine mess of things.
I mean c'mon, do we really need another outlet to hear Hilary Clinton?
