He has accepted that he cannot make any meaningful comments to the 'Media' despite what he knows.

He tried to alert a senior to the abuses of the system several months ago. He was ignored, and the Minister to whom he sent a warning email claims she didn't read it because it was filtered out by an underling. Why someone can filter messages to a cabinet minister, & 'screen' those which may be important is now the main question.

The minister in question has now resigned over another matter. She claimed ignorance of the problems with immigration from the Czech republic & Hungary, and proffered her resignation when she was confronted with a letter sent to her last year on the same subject, AND HER RESPONSE TO THAT LETTER!!
