First off, I am so pleased the Martin Gibson has joined the merry band of lunatics. I don't always agree, but I find this persons posts almost always interesting. Welcome Martin G, I am very happy that you are a member.

Now .... to the great debate. I have been on 4 continents and have sampled many variants and local versions, and I must tell you that I have never, .. I repeat .. never tasted anything close to a Chicago Dog. And usually those made in other cities miss the intricacies of EXACTLY HOW and in what order one must build this incredible creation. Chicargo is only about two hours away, and thanks to the irresponsible louts who are discussing this, I may have to slip away for the day for a Chicago Dog.

I consider meself a Canadian wannabe, so obviously I must take a ramble to Montreal for a steamie.
