As I walked out in Murphy one day
I spied a young felon a-dressed just in speedos
a-dressed in just speedos as they took him away.

they say that he was a lone chicken rustler
A kid-napping chickens from outside of Ray's
He says he was just in the market for papers,but
He hi-jacked that chicken, and stole her away.

Now Jekyl the rooster's alone at the grocery
they say that poor Jeckyl just fadin' away
He mourns for his loved one, his own darlin' Speckles
Since that speedo'd rustler done took her from Ray's.
