The song you are thinking about is Lazy Mary.
The song that I have mentions the days of the week and each verse builds on itself. It may be a children's song as one aquaintance of my brother says that her grandmother used to sing it to her when she was a little girl. I have a copy I can send to you if you wish to listen to it.
