Dad never made 80, but walking certainly prolonged his life substantially. After a pre-retirement heart attack he quit smoking, cleaned up his diet, and walked, and walked, and walked. Even after some small strokes he walked. Even after prostate cancer he walked. Only after Mom physically couldn't get him out the door did he stop. Some of my nicer memories of his later years involve our walks together. Our last walk had me pushing his wheelchair down the gravel road a few hundred yards and back, his only response was a smile as he'd been mute for a long time.

I'd give anything for another walk with him.

Peace, Mooh.
