Re: Richard III - it was all Tudor propaganda. Richard proved his brother Edward's previous marriage thus making the three children ineligible to reign. Henry Tudor (pause to spit over shoulder) married the eldest child, Elizabeth. To make her legitimate, he accused Richard of lying, thus making them all legitimate again and true heirs to the throne.

As it was, it appears very much as if Edward wasn't supposed to rule either. His illegitimacy seems now to have been proved by the reports of his hush hush christening and fathers' campaign dates. As eldest son, you'd expect his christening to be huge, but it was a private affair, unlike his brother who came along a year or so later - christened with all the pomp and ceremony befitting the heir to the throne.

This myth was disputed as soon as the Tudor dynasty was over, but it still finds its way into history books now.

As for the pyramids - the answer is Aliens, probably from the region of the constellation Orion. Why else would the four best know pyramids mark out Orion's belt, only obvious from the air.....?
