One of the reasons I don't go any more (and I used to be at a folk club every night of the week at one time) is that a lot have become so "precious"! I did go to a Christmas song session (fell into it by mistake!) in the back room of an empty pub. Why weren't they singing in the bar? Because, said the 70something person in charge, this was too precious to waste on the general public and should be kept in the back room. I think they may have missed the point somewhat!

Do we need another revival?
