I have only been to two folk clubs; Faversham to see Martin Carthy and Hythe to see Cloudstreet. Not knowing what to expect when I went to Faversham first I was a surprised by the fact that other people got to sing as well. I knew what to expect then when I went to Hythe. I enjoyed both evenings and found both to be friendly enough.

I might well go again when a someone I know is perfoming nearby. My first two visits have done nothing to put me off from going again. The main reason I don't go is just because I am an anti-social old git.
