I would recommend The Ride A Cock Horse Folk Club in Banbury.

Run by Mudcatters Derek and Mary it is very friendly and very well organised, it is relatively smoke free and has a great selection and a wide variety of guests. Every effort is made to make people feel welcome and go away having had a good night.

Also floor singers are always welcome and given lots of support and encouragement.

There is a loyalty card, go 5 times and get the sixth free, it is a lovely venue.
