I have a mandolin I can laboriously pick out tunes on. The string tension is a bit much, as I chopped off the end of my left index finger when I was three years old and have a lot of scar tissue from subsequent surgeries. I have the same problem, but not as bad with 5-string banjo. I've played around a little with other people's tenor banjos and bazoukis, but I have a long way to go to learn how to use a pick.

Oh, and I wouldn't normally bother acknowledging him, but for all the new folks, gargoyle is our resident sociopath. His only contributions of late consist of insults and incoherent raving.
