Amos - I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, the "educated" masses in the U.S. have learned only to function as good little consumers. They are the majority. Anyone with a critical consiousness is considered to be a "smarty pants" or "intellectually elite". Add to that a whopping helping of "patriotism" and the "God-fearing" Americans suddenly become "Bushites".

I wish I could be more hopeful.
