Never use the stuff--foundation, that is. Don't wear makeup at all, with the one exception of sometimes putting on mascara if I'm going someplace real dressed up. My eyelashes have faded over the years. I haven't seen the need for cosmetics, and the shock is less--you won't ever have the shock of catching me "without my makeup on." I do get a good haircut and I do have highlights in it, so it's not like I'm ignoring fashion or my looks completely.

Sunblock has some issues. PABA is an ingredient that has been argued about for a while. Here and here are a couple of commercial sites that talk about it.

I wear sunscreen and I wear a broad-brimmed hat when I'm out working in the yard. I still seem to get a sunburn where my shirt pulls up from the back of my pants when I bend over to weed the garden. It's like I have a nice happy smile on my lower back!
