The closest we have in America, from a cultural
standpoint, is Square Dancing. Square Dancing is
closely tied in with folk music as well.

In Square Dancing, four mixed couples take part,
or any number of such groups, and a "caller"
sings out the steps they are to take.

Square Dancing originated with English or Scottish
country-dancing, and is popular throughout the U.S.A.

I have thought Morris Dancing was for Men Only,
but I suppose nowadays the ladies take a turn.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

At any rate, it seems like a good opportunity
for drinking beer.
