Just wanted to pass on a link to the 6th Annual Albuquerque Folk Festival coming up on Saturday, June 19th, 2004 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, should anyone happen to be visiting at the time (or living in NM and not have heard about it.) http://www.abqfolkfest.org/


Looks like a lot of great live music, jams, and workshops ranging from the common (guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle) to the esoteric (Klezmer, women's barbershop, shape note singing, McTeggart Irish step dance.) Come by if you're in town.

By the way, I'm curious as to whether anyone who regularly posts here is from Albuquerque and might be interested in some informal jamming. I've been to some NM Pickers events, but I'm a little less of a bluegrass purist than most of those folks, (i.e Grateful Dead, Townes Van Zandt, Gillian Welsh, etc.)
