Garnet is a truly magnetic performer, pulls people both ways...towards and away from him. I remember seeing him at Winnipeg a few years ago, when his epic song "Night Drive" (title?) was new. Seeing him on the huge screen under the warm but cloudy prairie sky, voicing his recollection through a dream of his travels with his lost brother was one of the highlights of a fest that was truly awash with amazing talent. Heard a lot of other people say something similar the next day. Then there was the pair of teenagers that passed me, walking away from the mainstage area, one saying to the other "This guy's really depressing!"
