A lunchtime phonecall found everyone doing fine and playing at the lake. Charlotte says to tell Kat's daughter that her cracker-eating idea was well appreciated and there were no morning barfies. Everyone is lounging in the sun, Lake Roosevelt is too cold to swim in, and Jen's teaching the girls a new cheer for when their Daddy runs in Bloomsday tomorrow. Joe and I fly in tonight and will take this with me. Thanks.
    Bill, she is nuts. We just don't use the 'n' word because if we do, we get to hear the 'Harlan Pepper' impersonation for the millionth time. One must choose his battles wisely.
    The kestrel is one I have not heard. Is it anything like the eagle? She had to sit on a pillow for a week with that one. It is one of my favorites.
